Software that records your payments carries the trust of your whole hotel. Here is, without detour, what Sonnette does to protect you — and what it does not cover.
Hosting in France
Your data is hosted in France, with a provider established in the country. Your hotel has its own environment, isolated from other Sonnette customers.
Backups
Your data is backed up regularly, encrypted, with a copy kept off the main hosting site. Restores are tested, not just scheduled.
Encryption
Your data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) and stays encrypted at rest: databases, files, archives.
Audit log
Every sensitive operation on your till — invoicing, payment, closing, settings change — is logged. You can export it at any time, per hotel.
Tax chain
Your invoicing and payments follow a chain built to withstand an audit: unalterability, security, retention and archiving of data, with daily, monthly and annual closings.
Compliance certificate (France)
If your hotel is located in France, Sonnette issues you an individual certificate matching the tax authority's model (article 286-I-3° bis of the French General Tax Code — the CGI's cash-register-compliance provision), included in your subscription and downloadable from your account.
Outside France: what Sonnette does not cover
Sonnette works in any country, in euros, with a multilingual interface. Hosting in France, security and the reversibility of your data hold everywhere. Compliance with local till regulations does not: each country has its own, and Sonnette does not cover them today.

If your hotel is located in one of these countries, your own local till obligation remains entirely your responsibility: Sonnette issues no certificate or certification for these systems.
